LEER/ESCRIBIR PARTICIONES NTFS DE WINDOWS EN UBUNTU FEISTY

Ya habíamos hablado de como leer y escribir particiones NTFS en Ubuntu Edgy, de una forma un poco más rustica usando ntfs-3g.
Con NTFS-config podremos facilmente leer y escribir en nuestras particiones de Windows vía Ubuntu Feisty.
Basado en el driver ntfs-3g esta herramienta nos permitirá un fácil manejo de estas particiones.
La versión actual es 0.0.5 y la página oficial esta acá.
Los pasos a seguir, despues del salto :)
Primero…
Instalamos NTFS-config en nuestro Ubuntu Feisty, mediante los repositorios
$ sudo apt-get install ntfs-config
Esto instalará todos los paquetes requeridos, incluido el ntfs-3g
Una vez instalado, procedemos a usarlo, se ubicará en Aplicaciones -> Herramientas de Sistema -> NTFS Configuration Tool
Nos pedirá identificarnos como root.
Luego, nos mostrará las particiones disponibles, por ejemplo /dev/sda1 en NTFS
Nos pedirá seleccionar la particion y el lugar de montaje, que puede ser /media/windows
Y le damos a aplicar.
Luego, la herramienta de soporte, nos pedirá seleccionar «Habilitar soporte de escritura» para dispositivos Internos o Externos (dependiendo si tienes un HDD interno o uno fuera de tu PC).
Despues de seleccionar la opción le damos a OK y nos aparecerá en nuestro escritorio la partición montada.
Una vez allí, podrás ver todos los archivos de tu partición, incluyendo el hecho de poder escribir en ella.
Si quieres desmontarla, simplemente dale click derecho al icono de la particion y selecciona Desmontar Volumen.
Eso sería todo, cualquier duda o comentario, dejalo acá.

Saludos, mi pregunta es si escribiendo de esta forma en NTFS que es el sistema de archivos de windows no habra ningun problema despues en Windows porque ya se me daño una vez el sistema de archivos NTFS y no me gustaria que pasara denuevo…es completamente seguro mediante este procedimiento???…

Hey…yo denuevo…a molestarlos con otra pregunta..jeje…el problema ahora es…cuando ejecuto el ntfs-config en la lista de los discos que puedo seleccionar para escribir en ellos…solo me aparecen dos particiones NTFS y tengo 4…tengo un disco de 40 para windows y para linux…y tengo otro de 250 divido en 3…dos de 100 y otra de 50…el problema ahora es…que solo me presenta…la particion en la que esta instalada windows…y la de 50 que es la que coji para precisamente instalar los programas de windows entonces yo no quiero escribir en ninguna de ellas…sino en las otras dos de 100 que es donde guardo toda la data…pero estas dos de 100 no me aparecen en la lista…que puede estar pasando???

Cuando te mostraba las particiones, seleccionaste todas? y el lugar de montaje adecuado?
Seguro son todas en NTFS y no en FAT32?

Gracias por tu ayuda nuevamente…si estan todas las particiones en NTFS…lo que pasa es que parece que cuando publicaste esto se te olvido una pequena nota que dijera que esto debe hacerse antes de nisiquiera abrir el disco NTFS en el que quieres escribir…porque cuando subia mi pc y no abri ninguna ventana ni nada de los discos…me presento todas las particiones NTFS que tengo en mi pc…las 4 mencionadas en el pasado comentario…y hice la prueba y es que si se abre uno de los discos…luego en NTFS-config no te aparece aunque cierres todo lo que estes usando de el…entonces tienes que reiniciar y luego volver a abrir el programa y listo…te aparecen todas las NTFS…puede que esto me este pasando solo a mi o puede que se te halla olvidado..pero despreocupate…todos somos humanos y cometemos errores…pero comoquiera gracias a ti es que podemos hacer esto de escribir en NTFS sin ningun riesgo…y verdaderamente funciona…asi que…muchas gracias…cuidate…

hey…yo denuevo…tengo un problema con mis discos nuevamente…cuando configure el NTFS-CONFIG para poder escribir en mis particiones NTFS me funciono con exito…pero desde hace un par de dias hacia aca hay veces que prendo la maquina y subo Ubuntu y no me presenta las particiones NTFS que configure para poder escribir en ellas…solo las otras dos que no les he hecho nada…las monto manualmente y se montan con exito…ningun error…pero no puedo nisiquiera ver el contenido de los discos…y hay otras veces que la prendo y subo ubuntu y los discos me aparecen como si nada…ningun problema….que podria estar pasando???

Muchísimas gracias soy nuevo en linux y no sabía cómo hacer la instalación, además tengo un virus en windows y necesitaba poder acceder al disco duro para poder hacer limpieza. Gracias de nuevo.

Saludos…a ver si me pueden ayudar con esto tambien…aparte de lo de arriba…quiero saber porque en mi fstab los discos a pesar de que estan en NTFS me aparecen como FAT32 y todos dicen Unknow Decice…miren…

lugo de instalar mi sistema operativo compre un disco duro y le di formato y todo pero la opcion de crear carpetas no sale…..
sera porque no fue inslado con el sistema operatipo…..

umm ps sta buena la informacion yo en lo personal no necesite de eso de hecho mi problema es a la inversa.
tengo 2 discos duros en el 1°(windows, programas y ubuntu) en el 2°(todos mis datos importantes) umm ps el problema es que cuando instale ubuntu trabaje un rato en el pero cuando reinicie e inicie windows pues el 2° disco no aparecia por ningun lado alguien sabe como podria solucionar esto si fueran tan amables se los agradeceria mi correo es fock26@hotmail.com de antemano gracias

Encontre una forma màs sencilla de hacerlo….
Simplemente descargar el : disk-manager_1.0.1-1_all.deb
Y todo va de lujo… al menos a mi me resulto en 10 segundos….
